How it works

Traces of others

The game is multiplayer, other players open cells and plant flags on the same board. You'll walk into areas someone else already cleared. Their flags may be your only clue about what's nearby.

No finish line

The board never runs out. There's no win screen, no final grid, just an infinite field to explore. Pick a new direction and keep going.

Open and play

No lobbies, no matchmaking. Open the page and you're on the board. It's already running — just pick a spot and start.

Shared flags

A flag someone planted hours ago might save you from a mine. Your cleared cells become safe ground for the next person who comes through.

Rival, not enemy

You compete on hourly and daily leaderboards, but nobody attacks anyone. Everyone's fighting the same minefield — just trying to clear more of it.

See the big picture

Zoom out to see how much of the board is open. Zoom back in to your corner and keep digging. Every cell you clear stays cleared.

How to play

1

Click to reveal

Click any unrevealed cell to open it. If all neighboring mines are already flagged, clicking a number opens all its neighbors at once (chording).

C
If you open a mine the cell is revealed and you'll get a penalty. You and other players can still use the numbers around it.
2

Read the numbers

Each number shows how many mines are hidden in the 8 surrounding cells. A 1 means exactly one mine is nearby — use logic to work out which cell it is before you click.

3

Flag the mines

Mark cells you're confident contain mines. Right-click an unrevealed cell to flag it directly, or click a number once all its surrounding cells are identified.

Leave your mark

Every cell you clear stays on the shared map permanently. Your cleared ground becomes someone else's starting point, and the flags you plant warn players who haven't been here yet.
